With the debut of Marshalltown Community College women’s soccer program beginning this Fall 2022, the Tigers have signed their first five members of the team including current South Tama senior Carlie Herdlicka.

Herdlicka will graduate from South Tama County High School this May 2022. Herdlicka participated in soccer and cheer while in high school. She also played club soccer in the Marshalltown Fall League. She was involved in soccer for all four years although her sophomore season was canceled due to COVID. Herdlicka plays defensive and midline positions for the Trojans.

The other signees announced included Gabby Eirikson from West Marshall and former Marshalltown grads Emma Lizarde, Anahi Tellez and Samantha Trowbridge.

“We are very excited to sign the first five players to the new MCC women’s soccer program,” commented MCC Women’s Soccer Interim Head Coach Allie Osmundson. “All of these women have strong work ethics, a drive to improve and a passion for the game. They will all play a key role this fall in helping us build a strong foundation for this program.”
