Ready. Set. Go Big Blue.
Parents, staff and community members came out to the STC High School Gymnasium for the first Rally at the Round House on Friday, November 22. Goers caught a sneak peak at the upcoming boys and girls basketball teams.
The event was largely planned by STC High School Counselor and Assistant Boys Coach Dina Keahna. During the evening fans watched as the teams completed three different skill challenges. Skills included an obstacle course challenge, 30 second shooting challenge and 3-point shooting challenge. Both the boys and girls teams also scrimmaged. The boys are coached by Dustin Peska, Aaron Haughey and Dina Keahna. The girls are coached by Todd Dale and Derek Dixon.
The crowd was also led in two cheers by the STC Basketball Cheerleaders and saw a performance by the STC Technicians.
The girls first game was held on Tuesday, November 26 against Central DeWitt. Game results will run next week.
The boys first game is on Monday, December 2. The Trojans will be hosting a girl/boy double header against Grinnell. Tip off for the girls is at 6 p.m.
