STC Archery Club headed to State
Sixty-two shooters from the South Tama Archery Club will travel to the Iowa State Archery Tournament on Saturday, March 9th and Sunday March 10th at the Fairgrounds in Des Moines. Twenty-four Elementary students, 24 Middle School students will be attending to tournament. Eight of 62 (four elementary and four middle school students) will be doing 3D shooting. Also six High School Students will be competing in bulls eye shooting.
Shooting times vary, but the bulk of the teams will be shooting between 3 and 6 p.m. on Saturday the 9th, with a couple High School kids shooting on Sunday at 9 AM. The 3D shooters will all shoot at 11:15 AM on Saturday the 9th.
The STC Archery Club is in their fourth season and with roughly 70 students out for the club they are in need of more practice space. They will be holding a fundraiser on Sunday, May 31. Contact Sue Carnahan for more information.
