Brady Fritz

South Tama alumni, Brady Fritz, is headed to the NCAA National Championships.

Fritz is in his freshman season with the Wartburg Knights, where he wrestles at weight class 141.

The No. 1 Wartburg wrestling team seven-peated as NCAA Regional Team Champions Sunday, Feb. 17, with 169.5 points. The Knights qualified seven for the National Championships.

Fritz graduated from South Tama County in 2018. In high school he was a three-time All-State, three-time State Placewinner (second and third twice), Four-time All-Conference and a National Honor Society member.

Fritz is the son of Brian and Diana Fritz of Tama.

The DIII NCAA Championship Tournament will be held on Friday and Saturday March 8 and 9 at the Berglund Center in Roanoke, VA.
