Five champs for South Tama at JV WaMaC Tournament

Brody Chyma, Brady Knode, Mitch Knock, Austin Elsbury, each Uriel Martinez ended the JV WaMaC tournament as champions on Monday evening.

South Tama hosted the JV WaMaC east and west conference meet on Monday, Jan. 22.

The Tournament was ran as a four man round robin for a total of three rounds.

Brady Knode (STC) won by fall in over MacGyver Stender (Center Point Urbana) in Round 1. In Round 2 Knode pinned Christian Moore (Solon) and in Round 3 Knode pinned Cameron Breashears (Anamosa).

Mitch Knock (STC) won Round 1 over Dalton Lovell of Anamosa by major decision. Knock pinned Jaxson Howsare (Solon) in Round 2. In Round 3 Knock won by decision over Max Feldmann (Epworth, Western Dubuque).

Brody Chyma (STC) fell to Tyger Vaske (West Delaware) in Round 1. In Round 2 Chyma won by major decision over Damon Swenson (Vinton). Chyma won Round 3 by decision over Arnie Galvan (Mount Vernon).

Austin Elsbury (STC) won Round 1 over Cole Domeyer (Beckman) by decision. Elsbury then pinned Ethan Blair (Epworth) in Round 2. In Round 3 Elsbury lost to Noah Niemer of West Delaware.

Uriel Martinez (STC) won Round 1 over Devin Luskey (Central DeWitt) by fall. In Round 2 Martinez pinned James Jauptli (Epworth). IN Round 3 Uriel also pinned Ben Kelly (Independence).
