AAU 3rd-thru 8th grade Districts were held in Webster City on February 5th.

This qualified them to wrestle on February 25 and 26 at the 2017 Iowa AAU Kids State Championships at Wells Fargo in Des Moines.

Vincent Branan, an 8th grader, placed 4th in the AAU State Tournament which earned him a spot on Team Iowa in the 2017 AAU Lee Pamulak MS National Duals. The duals were on April 1 and 2 in Des Moines. Branan went 7 and 1 earning himself an All American Award.

Branan also placed 2nd at Iowa USA State Championships on January 29. This earned him a spot on Team Iowa and he competed in the Heartland Folkstyle National Duals in Council Bluffs on April 15 and 16
