Six South Tama wrestlers competed at Class 2A Districts 5 on Saturday, February 11 and 6 will be going on to State.

It was a thrilling day for the STC Trojan wrestlers as five juniors including Brady Fritz (126), Tanner Probasco (132), Colton Vest (138), Isaac Judge (152), Dalton Rosenburg (182) and one senior Kyle Kucera (220) will all head to State on Thursday.

To top off the excitement South Tama also claimed the team District win with 102 points.

Session 3 – Thursday, February 16, 6-9 p.m. 1st round and 1st round consolations

Session 5 – Friday, February 17, 2:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m. Class 2A quarter-finals, Class 3A semi-finals and 3rd round consolations, and Class 2A 2nd round consolations

Session 6 – Friday, February 17, 8:45-10 p.m. Class 2A semi-finals and 3rd round consolations (1A wrestles to completion on the first open mat before 2A begins wrestling)

Session 7 – Saturday, February 18, 10 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Class 3A, 1A, 2A consolation semi-finals and finals (Consolation semi-finals matches will be wrestled to completion on the first open mat with no break between classes. Consolation finals will then take place on the first open mat with no break between classes).

Session 8 – Saturday, February 18, 5:45 p.m. IWCOA, IHSADA and IHSAA Awards, 6 p.m. Grand march and Finals for all classes.
