South Tama’s Maci Fritz signed with Kirkwood to play softball. Fritz is the daughter of Brian and Diana Fritz.

Fritz began her high school career with East Marshall where she was a three year starter before transferring to South Tama in 2015. Fritz was a member of East Marshall’s back to back state tournament teams when she was in 8th & 9th grade.

Last season with the Trojans Fritz hit .348 and lead the team with 16 RBI’s, 6 2B’s and 1 hr. She also had a fielding % of .933 with only 7 errors in 29 games at third base.

Kirkwood, who is coached by Joe Yegge, placed 5th at the NJCAA D2 National Tournament last year and finished with a 58-6 record. Their coaching staff was honored as 1 of 3 programs nationwide as a coaching staff of the year for their accomplishments.
