Letter to the Editor:

Your editorial that recently appeared in the Chronicle and News Herald was spot-on: “Move a Bit Of D.C. To Central IowaHow about the Iowa Juvenile Home campus in Toledo?” The only change I recommend would be to remove “-How about” and the question mark from the editorial’s title and replace them with “on” and a period.

Hopefully, Iowa’s State and U.S. Representatives and Senators will see the wisdom of moving the USDA’s offices of Economic Research Service (ERS) and National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) to the IJH property. It makes great sense to do so, despite the fact that wealthier interests across the nation will be vying for these offices to be located in their areas.
