Letter to the Editor:

We need change in Iowa Senate district 36.

I have worked along side Jeff Edler on the board of directors for our rural electric coop, Consumers Energy. Jeff has been our president for the past 6 years. With the help of a sound general manager and Jeff’s guidance, we have moved from dire financial problems to a very sound equity position. We are now returning patronage back to our members each year, and renewing power lines and poles. Jeff has unique skills in gaining consensus on important issues.

We need this ability to work across lines in our State Senate. We have not had that in District 36, so many important bills have died either in the House or the Senate.

Jeff has given so many unpaid hours and days to our co-op, he operates a large farming and understands the educational needs of their 5 children. Many residents in our District have seen Jeff at their door explaining his positions. No one will work harder than Jeff to see Iowa move forward.

Our family supports Jeff 100 percent. Please vote for Jeff for change in November.
