Objects to elected being called liars

Letter to the Editor:

In regards to Anne Michael’s Letter to the editor in the July 20th paper, I was shocked when she called all politicians liars, I quote: (If we didn’t vote for liars, we would be trying to run our government with a handful of politicians), this coming from a retired school teacher and a retired member of the board of education.

I feel this was a very unethical remark, insulting our local County Auditor, Treasurer, Recorder, Sheriff, County Attorney and Board of Supervisors, as well as our State Representative and Senator.

I personally feel all these people are well adjusted, honest people and would not accuse any of them of being a liar.

I realize she is classifying all local offices with national offices. If she feels it is okay for Hillary to lie, fine, but for me I prefer someone who tells the truth. She classified Donald Trump as a politician the same as Hillary Clinton, however, Trump is a businessman, not a politician.

Anne can say what she feels about Trump, but I have yet to see any family more polite, educated, well organized, and ambitious than Trump’s family. It seems he has taught them honesty, integrity, ambition and truthfulness. They are well spoken, and very sincere about their father.

It is a well known fact that Hillary has lied about many things. Anne stated you should not use her problem of lying as a reason not to vote for her. What about the lies she told about Benghazi and those Americans who lost their lives. Perhaps she would feel differently if one of these Americans had been her family.

I am in favor of voting for a successful businessman to run the country, and get us out of debt, rather than a Chicago community organizer. Evidently his organization skills were not too successful in the White House.
