Dear Editor,

The Toledo PEO Chapter DF would like to thank all of the local businesses for their patronage as well as those who participated by being audience members for the Des Moines Opera’s production of Cinderella on February 18th. It was deemed a rousing success by those who attended; but, especially, the children who were able to meet and have pictures taken with the actors/characters at the reception following the show.

Because of the generous local patronage, Toledo PEO Chapter DF was able to give the Wieting Theatre $4,750 toward Phase II, which will beTheatrical Enhancements.

This is the fourth Des Moines Opera that Toledo PEO Chapter DF has sponsored, each time giving the Wieting a donation after expenses were met. Three years ago the money given after Elixir of Love went to help pay off the Wieting Theatre’s renovation debt.

Toledo PEO Chapter DF believes in the arts and agrees with the Wieting Theatre’s mission to bring the arts and culture to the community.

Again, this amount would not have been possible if it were not for the patronage of local businesses and citizens.
