Says Ernst vote tied to Koch brotehrs support
To the Editor:
One should not be upset with Joni Ernst’s views on clean water. That, after all, was part of her campaign. She wanted to eliminate the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency.
She is actually being very loyal. Her benefactors who paid for all those castration ads were the Koch brothers. The brothers are not happy about cleaning up their messes – oil, chemical or whatever. They really, really want the EPA to disappear.
Joni, of course, does not cite the Kochs as the reason for her recent vote against the Clean Water Act. Instead, she seems to think that forcing entities to keep water clean is an invasion of their privacy or something like that. Somebody needs to tell her that people don’t OWN water. It seems to be a lot like air – it moves all over the place. It evaporates, goes into clouds, and comes down as precipitation. Also, it seems it never comes down at the same place. It goes to other places, and bad water is a very bad thing.
Also, Joni’s timing is really, really bad. Just ask the folks in Flint, Michigan.
