Letter to the Editor:

We would like to make a public apology, on behalf of Premier Estates of Toledo. It has come to our attention that we have offended some of the citizens in our community. We are taking full responsibility for the flags that were placed at the municipal buildings of both Tama and Toledo, and for the flags placed in front of our facility. Some of the flags did not stay put, and were either touching the ground or lying on the ground at the end of the Fourth of July weekend. We are truly sorry that the flags did not stay secure once they were placed.

Please understand that our idea was to promote Patriotism and to let our Veterans know that we appreciated their service. In no way was there intended malice or disrespect towards the American flag or those who served under it.

We would once again like to extend our sincerest apologies to those of you that we have offended. We are truly sorry.
