Praise for Monroe Crossing at the Wieting

Letter to the Editor:

If you weren’t one of the people in attendance at the Wieting Theatre Sunday afternoon, you missed a really fantastic performance by the bluegrass group Monroe Crossing, a four guy-one gal combo that gave an outstanding two hour rendition that ended with a rousing standing ovation that gave those in the audience two more rewarding numbers. This would rival many of the far more pricey Branson shows performed in a facility with superior acoustics, far more comfortable seating, easy close-by parking, and a very nominal ticket charge. The show was a collage of tunes with a big helping of Christmas music that would leave all those listening happy and satisfied. I anticipate being in Branson this weekend with the full intention of taking in a few shows while there. However, I doubt many will be better than the group at the Wieting today.
