Letter to the Editor:

In recent weeks, there have been many students, community members and staff members involved in organizing the Celebrate My Drive Campaign sponsored by State Farm. This campaign has been a large undertaking as the committee collected thousands of email addresses and used them to vote each day for ten days. Why? It was all for a chance to win $100,000 for South Tama County Schools. While it will be a few weeks yet before we know the final results, we were in the running as of October 23rd.

The students, staff and volunteers have been amazing. There were so many people involved in this effort; to try to name them all would not be possible. However, I do want to thank Adam Anderson and Darcy Smith from State Farm for bringing this idea forward, putting a team together, and rallying the community support. It was a tremendous effort that should be commended and celebrated.
