Dear Editor:

I hear on the news republicans like governor Branstad and representative Lance Horbach saying state workers are getting to much benefits and need to sacrifice.

Will Branstad sacrifice his pension of over $50 thousand a year he gets from taxpayers? He is not retired now but still gets that pension. Will Lance Horbach put up a bill saying state legislature representatives should take a 20% pay cut in these hardtimes? Or do republicans just want state workers who do the hard jobs like getting up in the middle of the night to run snowplows to sacrifice?
