Praise for Iowa River Hospice
Letter to the Editor:
Tuesday evening Nov. 3, I had the privilege to attend the Iowa River Hospice Bi-annual Memorial Service in Marshalltown remembering the 93 individuals that have been helped in the past six month period by the wonderful and outstanding staff of professionals and volunteers tending to the every need of those on their end of life journey, as well to their families and loved ones both during the final days of their “angel’ here on this earth, and the days, weeks, and months following the passing of their loved one. Although 93 individuals is a large number of persons and families aided by Iowa River Hospice in the past six months, in all likely-hood it really represents only a fraction of those individuals and families that could be aided by the dedicated staff of Iowa River Hospice if only people knew and would request their help.
I personally can attest to their friendly, loving, caring, help during my own “angel’s” final days, and to the follow up for both myself and the members of my family since Bervol’s passing.
This wonderful service is as close as your telephone, and comes to you quickly without question or qualification, at no charge to the “angel’ being served or to the family involved.
They truly are “Saints in disguise” coming forward to assist in caring and comforting those caught up in one of lifes most difficult times.
