Hoorah! Hoorah! Homecoming has come again, bringing with it all of the usual mayhem and mania. With hoops and hollers and yelps of joy, heaps of candy were thrown in the annual parade. Music reverberated off the city streets as the STC marching band bounded down the road to the smiles of the attendees.
The Elective Monarchy, as always a staple of the event, saw the 2026 STC Homecoming court making their debut at the parade, paired up, and waving ever elegantly. This year’s Queen candidates were: Khloe Balderas, Madyson Boriskey, Paisley Bro, Madison Engler, Olivia Hala, and London Jaenette. The potential Kings were: Anthony Viramontes, Josiah Houghton, Jonathan Escribano, Eli Cruikshank, Kyle Youngbear, and Ayden Wobeter.
When it came to announcing the new rulers of the kingdom, it was done so via loudspeaker between football games. Grand Marshall Mike Carnahan had the privilege of crowning the teenagers. In the end, it was Madison Engler and Jonathan Escribano who were voted the rulers, as their subjects applauded and cheered around them.
