As the sun shone down on a chilly Monday, locals waltzed through the breeze over crunching leaves to this week’s Tama County Supervisors meeting. The roads department reported dealing with the rain and washouts. They’ve also been hauling rock, mowing, and are planning to get the durapatcher out at some point in the week.

The IT department reported working at the West Annex and that the generator and tank have been delivered to Conservation.

Jordan Primus, the new Tama County Engineer, was introduced to the public as it was his first day.

The supervisors approved the single agenda item of accepting the resignation of Veteran Affairs Board Member Darrell Niedermann. The supervisors discussed needing to find someone to serve on the board and the possibility of the new board member being a veteran of a war other than Vietnam to bring some diversity. Non-departmental claims of $5,220.75 and regular claims of $329,820.18 were approved.
