The dawn of a new era
Knebel takes over as chair at this week’s Tama County Supervisors Meeting
This week’s Tama County Supervisors meeting was the beginning of a new era as Supervisor Heather Knebel sat in the middle of the big joint desk, taking the helm as the board’s chair. The meeting started with the roads report saying that they are mowing, ditching, and doing some blading. They have also been hauling rock from the quarry. It was also reported that the roads department employees have received their county-issued cell phones and have started clocking in and out electronically.
The V18 temporary Road Closure for the Chelsea Car Show was approved. A resolution for the assessed year 2026 Homestead/Military exemptions and removals was approved.
Next week’s meeting was approved to be moved to Tuesday, July 14 at 8:30 due to Proclamation Day. Claims totaling $70,149.28 were approved.
