Another year of the Tama-Toledo Community Yard Sales is in the books, and organizer Charles Betz is calling the event a success.

Following the weekend, Betz thanked everyone who hosted sales, stopped out to shop, and helped make the community-wide event possible. Throughout Tama and Toledo, residents opened their garages, yards, and driveways to bargain hunters searching for everything from furniture and household items to unexpected treasures.

Betz also recognized the work that goes into hosting a sale, from sorting and pricing items to setting up displays and packing away anything that didn’t sell.

The annual event once again brought people out into neighborhoods across both communities, giving residents and visitors a chance to meet new people, catch up with friends, and spend the weekend treasure hunting.

According to Betz, the community yard sales are expected to return again later this year, likely with another event closer to the fall season.
