End the school year by making an impact – Donate Blood
JOHNSTON — Students who donate blood or host a blood drive through LifeServe can earn scholarships and recognition while making a meaningful difference in the community.
With schools out and regular routines on hold, blood donations tend to drop during the summer months. But that doesn’t mean there’s less need! Each blood donation has the ability to impact
three lives. By hosting a blood drive and recruiting donors, students can maximize impact and make
sure local patients have access to the blood products they need. Plus, the more donors recruited, the more money they earn in scholarships.
LifeServe will award up to $500 in scholarship funds to students who organize a successful blood drive. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must recruit donors, act as the chairperson for the
blood drive and register 25 donors ($250 awarded) or 40 donors ($500 awarded).
Close the school year in a meaningful way and start summer with purpose. Schedule a donation appointment at an upcoming blood drive or learn more about LifeServe’s scholarship opportunities at lifeserve.info/students.
