Tama-Toledo Christian School prepares for new year, hosts family night and ice cream social
As the inaugural year of the Tama-Toledo Christian School draws to a close, administrators and board members are already preparing for the 2026-2027 academic year. In the coming year, TTCS will be adding 9th grade, allowing the school to provide a Christ-centered educational experience in grades K-9.
Families considering a Christ-centered education are invited to attend an upcoming Family Night for both current and prospective families. The event will be held on Friday, April 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tama-Toledo Christian School, 600 Oswego Street, Tama. During the family night, a potluck style dinner with pork loin will be provided by TTCS.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a dessert or side dish to share. The evening will offer families an opportunity to tour the school, connect with current families, and learn more about the benefits of a Christian education in a welcoming, community-focused setting. Earlier in the day, beginning at 3:30 p.m., school administrators and board members will be available to assist families with signing up for Iowa’s Education Savings Account (ESA) program.
TTCS will also be hosting an Open House Ice Cream Social during Lincoln Highway Days on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
The ESA enrollment window for the 2026-2027 school year runs from April 16 through June 30, 2026.
The ESA program allows families to use public funds toward tuition and other approved expenses at accredited nonpublic schools, including many Christian institutions. As this year’s ESA window approaches, TTCS administrators and school board emphasize the importance of applying early.
