Toys came to life, humans rode dinosaurs, and horror icons walked hand in hand with princesses; it was a Saturday of Halloween wonder. Multiple holiday events were held around town, giving citizens, big and small, ample opportunity to join in the fun. In the parking lot of the high school, the Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce held its Trick or Treat trail before downtown Tama had its Trunk or Treat. A well-attended spaghetti supper was also offered at the Tama Civic Center. The night ended, like it does every year, with the Haunted Hayride. A line of chilled individuals waited eagerly for a chance to scream in the night.
