In a statement released on the City of Toledo IA Facebook page on Wednesday, July 30, the city of Toledo announced the park will be closed until further notice.

“The City of Toledo will be closing Toledo Heights Park until further notice due to flooding.

Please do NOT drive through past barricades. Thank you for your cooperation!”

The park closure follows several flooding incidents this summer alone, and comes a week after the annual Meskwaki Powwow changed locations due to flooding.
