The Tama-Toledo Community Yard Sale is only two weeks away, and preparations are underway. This event, coordinated by Charles Betz of Tama, brings together residents from across Tama and Toledo for a weekend of yard sales, bargains, and local engagement.

Residents are encouraged to start posting in a community Facebook group that Betz created, to be added to the event map, another one of Betz creations. Each participant should include their sale location, specific dates and times of sale, and a general list of items available. Photos of featured items are welcome and help attract shoppers.

Some sellers have already announced that they will only be participating on Friday and Saturday, so clear communication about availability is encouraged. As submissions come in, a Google Map is being updated to guide shoppers around the area, with a printable version planned for convenience.

This community-wide event highlights the tech savvy work of Betz, offering a fun and practical way for residents to connect, recycle gently-used items, and clean out those basements.
