TOLEDO – The main bit of business that everyone seemed to be curious about at Monday’s Supervisors meeting was the appointing of a zoning administrator and weed commissioner. Multiple people applied and were interviewed by the supervisors and other members of the city staff. There ended up being two main contenders for the position. In the end, the supervisors approved Bob Vokoun for the position.
The Tama County engineer reported that Iowa Bridge and Culvert will have P Avenue opened later this week, weather depending. Work will be done on E Avenue, and the dirt crew will be moving on from P Avenue to F Avenue. The department’s listings on the Govdeals website will end Monday evening. Ditch work is being done, a utility permit was approved to replace poles between C and D Avenue on 250th Street.
The Treasurer’s semi-annual report was approved.
Claims totaling $645,257.47 were approved.
