Toledo woman charged with embezzlement from bank where she worked

On Feb. 3, Toledo resident Naomi Rae Winders was arrested on a charge of first degree theft. Winders reportedly embezzled $15,000 from her job at Pinnacle Bank, where she worked as a teller, between August 2022 and October 2023.

A criminal complaint alleges that Winders took the money from her drawer while she worked as a teller. She would then alter the totals of her drawer by making false deposits before the drawer was counted and canceling transactions afterward.

After posting a $10,000 bond, Winders was released from custody on Feb. 5. A preliminary hearing in the case has been set for Feb. 23 at 9 a.m.
