On Tuesday, Aug. 8, If you were out and about in Tama-Toledo, there is the possibility that you saw a string of emergency vehicles go by. This was the Cruise with the Blues presented by the Meskwaki Nation Police Department.
Police cruisers from Meskwaki, Tama, and Toledo led the way, with a multitude of vehicles following. Fire trucks and ambulances from both Tama and Toledo rolled along the parade. Some local citizens didn’t miss out on the fun, joining in with their normal vehicles and a few with their rare and unique rides as well.
After the cruise took everyone through both Tama and Toledo, the entrants made their way out to the Meskwaki Casino. Good food and good fun were had by all who attended, from the officers in the dunk tank to the live music of Jonah Seymour.
