At the Tama City Council meeting on Monday, Matt from Assured Partners Insurance gave an update on the property, cyber, and other policies for discussion of possible changes.

A resolution was approved for the city of Tama to apply for a $100,000 Iowa Economic Development Authority grant for a backup generator that would provide power to the sewer plant in times of power loss. One reason for the grant application is that during the 2020 derecho, the current backup generator suffered a failure.

The latest update from Snyder and Associates Construction in Tama was that work will start this week.

A decision was made to buy and replace the globes in the downtown light poles.

An ordinance was amended regarding the Nuisance Abatement Procedure.
