Members of the Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce visited WCF Financial Bank in Tama last week for a Chamber welcome event.
The bank branch was opened in 2020 and recently became a member of the Chamber of Commerce organization.
WCF Financial Bank has Iowa branches in Webster City and Independence. The company began its investment in the Tama-Toledo community February of 2020 with the hiring of long-term banker Kelly Smith as a Senior Vice President, Senior Lender and Market President.
In June 2020 another community banker, Jenn Thiessen, was added to the staff as a Mortgage Loan Processor.
In August of 2020 WCF Financial Bank opened an office on McClellan Street in Tama at the former Alliant Energy location.
The bank operated as a loan-only office until December 2020 when approval to offer all financial products was granted.
Currently, WCF Financial Bank has over $5 million in deposit funds and over $35 million in loans originated from the Tama-Toledo branch.
The support and growth from the community far surpassed our expectations, Tim Kluender, WCF President/CEO said. “We will look to further cement our foundation into the Tama-Toledo community as we grow this branch. I’d like to personally thank the community for the support.”
