The Toledo Fire Department were called to a fire Saturday evening.

The fire occurred at 1008 South Prospect Drive #47 in Toledo.

Responding to the scene were the Toledo Fire Department and Ambulance, Tama Fire Department and Ambulance and Tama County Sheriff’s Department.

The residents were not home at the time of the fire. Several animals were removed from the residence including dogs and rabbits. Their status is unknown at this time.
