The Tama County Administration Building at 104 W State St. in Toledo will be closed to public until further notice.

It was announced yesterday that the Tama County Administration Building in Toledo will be closed to in-person public services following the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 30 and until further notice.

The decision to close the facility to the public was made by county department administrators that have their departments housed in the building on W State Street. The reason cited for the closure was the increasing COVID-19 positivity numbers in Tama County.

County departments will continue working while the administration building is closed to the public.

Those needing to reach the county treasurer’s office, auditor’s office, county recorder or assessor’s office are encouraged to call in while the facility is closed.

The move comes just a week after county facilities re-opened to the public on Nov. 23 after a similar pandemic-related closure earlier this month.
