Tama County District Court

Before Associate Judge Russell G. Keast in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Sharissa Sue Wolf, 40, Tama, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of assault. She received a deferred judgment and was assessed a civil penalty and court costs totaling $255. Wolf orignally was charged on a county attorney’s information with two counts of child endangerment and charges of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and interference with official acts causing bodily injury.

According to the initial charges filed by Tama Police,they stemmed from what was described as a fist fight in the 1000 block of McClellan Street which occurred on Oct. 3, 2019.

A person was allegedly assaulted by Wolf and Tama Police Officer Anthony Rodriguez was injured when he intervened.

Elizabeth Garcia Papakee, 21, rural Tama, pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. She was sentenced to 25 dais in jail, credited for 25 days already served and directed to be released from custody. A fine and court costs totaling $1,698 were assessed and she was ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow any recommendations.

Papakee was charged at Elm and Main streets in Montour on Oct. 16, 2019, after a pursuit by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Neil Firzzell.

Gary Lynn Shortley, 64, rural Marshalltown, entered a written plea of guilty to the amended charge of public intoxication. He was assessed a fine and court costs totaling $188.

Shortley was orignally charged with 1st offense drunken driving as the result of a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Business Highway 30 west by Toledo Police Officer Shawncey Dey.

Triston William Comacho, 22, Tama, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of assault on a person engaged in a certain occupation and was adjudged guilty. He was sentenced to suspended 30 day jail term and fined ad assessed court costs totaling $425. He was placed on supervised probation to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.

Comacho was charged on Jan. 14 in the 800 block of Oswego Street while being taken into custody on a charge of violation of a no contact order. According to the court record, State Trooper Aadam Wiltfang and Tama Police Officer Daniel Sutfin separated the parties who were attempting to kiss while Comacho yelled and resisted leaving. After forcing Comacho to leave the residence he kicked Trooper Wiltfang in the left shin with a steel-toed boot
