Tama Co. Historical Society program explores World War II History of U.S.S. Honolulu
The Tama County Historical Society will hold a program on the history of the USS Honolulu on Wednesday, March 6, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Tama County Historical Society and Genealogical Library, 200 N. Broadway St, Toledo.
Don Paustian will present his research on the USS Honolulu, a Brooklyn-class light cruiser that was active in the Pacific Theater of World War II. Paustian’s father, the late Louis J. Paustian, served on the ship while deployed with the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945.
The program is free and open to the public.
