The Tama County Humane Society has received a $2,500 grant from the Miccio Foundation. The grant was used to help purchase two cat suites for the cat adoption room at the shelter.

The Miccio Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation based in Iowa City. It supports projects that promote the well-being of animals in the State of Iowa.This foundation has supported numerous projects for the Tama County Humane Society’s shelter.

The most recent project involved purchasing two cat suites for the cat adoption room. The suites are large glass enclosures that allow for cage free housing. The cats are now able to exercise and socialize with other cats.

Visitors to the shelter can enter the cat suites and interact with cats available for adoption.
