Meskwaki Bingo • Casino boosts area emergency food sources for the holidays

The South Tama Food Pantry in Tama was well stocked for the holiday season on Tuesday, Dec. 19, with the delivery of 2,240.5 lbs. of food, the result of the annual drive at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel on the Settlement at rural Tama.

The success went even further with the same amounts delivered to the Meskwaki Senior Center and the Emergency Food Box in Marshalltown. Casino patrons received $10 in free play for contributing three food items to the drive on Tuesdays.

The South Tama Food Pantry is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
