Cherry Mansion and Stiger Home -Photos provided

The Tama County Historical Society will present the third installment of its popular program on historic homes on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Wieting Theatre, 101 S. Church St, Toledo. This program is free and open to the public.

Joan Hayward Helm will delve into the history of two iconic Tama-Toledo residences: the Stiger House and Cherry Mansion. Her program, “Houses We Think We Know, But We Really Don’t,” will include photos, history, and stories about the historic structures based on her research.
