Grace Smith (5th)
Grace Smith is 11 years old and in 5th grade. Her parents are Alayna and Carl. She has two brothers named Keygan and Henry. She has two pets, Courtney and Susie. Courtney is a dog and Susie is a cat. She loves art. To describe herself, she would say she is funny, weird, and kind. Her best three characteristics are she is funny, nice, and awesome. Her advice for classmates is get your work done and listen.
Lizzy Vesely (5th)
Lizzy Vesely, a student of the South Tama Middle School, was selected in February for student of the month by the teachers and staff. Lizzy is 1 and is in the 5th grade. She said her three best characteristics are being kind, helpful, and athletic. She also describes herself as funny, friendly, and nice. Lizzy’s family includes Steve Vesely (dad), Sherri Vesely (mom), and Nick Vesely (brother). Lizzy plays volleyball for South Tama. Her advice to her classmates is, “Do your homework.”
Carlie Herdlicka (6th)
Congratulations to Carlie Herdlicka for getting student of the month for February. She is 12 and is in 6th grade. Her mom’s name is Jenna Herdlicka and her dog’s name is Cassie. Her hobbies are playing basketball and softball. Carlie describes herself as funny and athletic. Three character traits of hers are she is funny, nice, and caring. Some advice Carlie has is, “Don’t get in trouble and get good grades.” Again congratulations to Carlie Herdlicka for earning student of the month.
Mitchell Klostermann (6th)
A student of the month for February is Mitchell Klostermann. His wonderful family members are Russ, Kellee, and Kaylee. He has two dogs named Dakota, and Montana. His hobbies that Mitchell most enjoys are golf, TV, and to play with his wonderful dogs, Dakota and Montana. He is kind and cares about other people’s feelings. His 3 best characteristics are being full of energy, being funny, and being lazy while watching TV with his family. His advice for his classmates is, “Work hard, don’t mess around, and you might be student of the month.”
Dulce Murillo (7th)
Dulce Murillo is a student of the month! She is 13 years old and in 7th grade Her mom and dad’s names are Juana and Juan. Her siblings are Lia, Gael, and Ximena. Her hobbies are reading and watching Anime. Dulce describes herself as nerdish and happy. Her characteristics are that she is very smart, makes people smile, and is very nice. Her advice to her classmates is to get homework done! Congratulations to Dulce Murillo on getting student of the month. Keep up the good work.
Alicia Ramirez (7th)
Congratulations to Alicia Ramirez for getting the student of the month award. Alicia is 13 and in 7th grade. Alicia has two parents, Adriana Ramirez and Alejandro Ramirez. She has three siblings: Alejandro, Adriana, and Alexa Ramirez. Alicia is interested in soccer and volleyball. Her characteristics are outstanding. She is generous, honest, and active. She is a straight A student. She is also fair to everybody. Her advice for students are don’t goof around, be kind to your teachers, and try your best. Again, congratulations to Alicia Ramirez for getting the student of the month award.
Clarissa Rosenberger (8th)
Clarissa Rosenberger is an 8th grader who is 14 years old. She has four members in her family; her dad is Todd, her mom is Megan, and her two brothers are Clayton and Kade. She would like to give a special shoutout to her Grandpa Steven, Grandma Linda, and Grandma Judy. She has hobbies like playing volleyball, basketball, track, dance, music, theater, make-up, hair, and shopping. She describes herself as funny, kind, loving, athletic and energetic. Her best characteristics are creative, adventurous, and nice. Her advice for her classmates is, “Don’t be rude to teachers and respect your grandparents.”
