Two deputy sheriffs now also serve the public as members of the Iowa Senate. State Senator Steve Sodders of State Center (left) is a Deputy Sheriff in Marshall County and represents Tama, and Marshall counties and a portion of Black Hawk County in the Iowa?Senate. The two-term Senator will again serve as Senate President Pro Tempore. Newly-elected State Senator Kevin Kinney of Oxford is a deputy with the Johnson County Sheriff’s office.
