Jerry Stephens and the 2013 graduates were honored at Thursday night’s powwow by the Meskwaki Settlement School culture staff. Stephens was presented a blanket and medallion. Stephens and the graduates led dancing in the arena full of school staff, students, family and friends and community members. Stephens retired as superintendent of the Meskwaki Settlement School on Aug. 2.
