2nd annual Toledo Stoplight Festival – Friday, July 8
TOLEDO CHRONICLE – Five bands, five hours, five different kinds of music – something for everyone and some will enjoy all. That’s the musical line-up for the 2nd annual Toledo Stoplight Festival set for this Friday evening, July 8 on the Tama County Courthouse square.
Events get underway at 5 p.m. with a new groups on the Bandstand on the hour and the Toledo Farmers Market opens.
At 6 p.m. the annual Tama-Toledo Area Chamber-sponsored BBQ Contest opens with samples and judging.
There’s lots of games and entertainment including Kids Water Fights sponsored by the Toledo Fire Department, Kiwanis Turtle Races, miniature golf, Bouncy Castle and more.
At 8:45 p.m. the American Cancer Society presentation and luminary lighting will take place. The event was postponed due to weather on June 10.
Events continue at 10 p.m. with fireworks at the Toledo City Park.
