Once the switch for the sun was flipped on and Monday began, those usual meeting goers made their way to the Tama County Supervisors meeting. The meeting started with a lengthy exempt session that had a group loitering in the hall, waiting for the regular meeting to start.
The roads department reported working on 310th Street and on bridge projects. The brush crew was out mowing, and they’ve been dealing with the rain. The supervisors approved authorizing Supervisor Turner to spend the remaining ARPA funds, which need to be spent by December.
Reports from the Zoning/Weeds, Sheriff’s Department, and the Auditor’s Office were approved. A 28E agreement dealing with the county private wells was approved, as it’s done every five years.
The supervisors discussed appropriating the remaining funds to the Public Health Department. 40% of the remaining budget was approved to be appropriated, with Kupka the only one voting nay. Non Departmental claims totaling $5,068.96 and regular claims totaling $156,731.34 were approved.
