Moultons AFS daughter is safe in Japan homeland
TOLEDO CHRONICLE – Yuko Yamashita, A. F. S. student from Japan, spent her senior year, 1970-1971, attending the South Tama High School.
Her host family was Bill and Donna Moulton and their four daughters, Shelley, Deanna, Lynette and Melissa of Toledo.
Yuko now lives in Osaka, Japan. Although Yuko has never been able to make a return trip to the U.S. she has maintained a continuing correspondence with the Moulton family.
She has married (her married name is Murakami) and has a son Keishi, who is employed near Tokyo and a daughter, Asako, who married last year.
The Moultons were all very concerned about the welfare of the Murakami family when they learned of the earthquake and tsunami that struck along the northern coast of Japan. They have been emailing back and forth and share their latest news with the area.
