Tama Class of 1960 plans 50 year reunion this month
TAMA NEWS-HERALD – The Tama High School Class of 1960 would like to announce that they are celebrating their 50th class reunion at the Meskwaki Casino O.M.R.E. room Saturday, June 19.
The reunion will be open to the public at 8:30 p.m. and all interested parties are encouraged to attend.
The Saturday evening event promises to be packed with entertainment including: a C.D. presentation of old pictures, acknowledgement of deceased classmates, recognition of some 13 students who served in the military and special guests.
One of the guests will be Mrs. Felicia Carey, a teacher and wife of former basketball coach Jim Carey, who died in 2006. To celebrate their 48 years of marriage, she wrote a book that will impress both sports fans and romantics. Mrs. Carey will be available for a book signing.
Golf is also planned for both Friday and Saturday morning. Contact Ron Woodworth at 214-906-2046, if you are interested in playing. Pat (Janssen) Wall is also available at 641-484-4937 to entertain questions concerning the reunion.
