Relay for Life is Friday, June 11 at STC
TAMA NEWS-HERALD –
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Tama County will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday evening, June 11 at the South Tama High School track. In case of rain, the Relay will be held in the South Tama Gymnasium. The schedule of events for the Relay was announced this week by the planning committee
Special guest will be Dr. Aliasger Salem, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics at the College of Pharmacy, University of Iowa. Dr. Salem’s research specialty is the development of cancer vaccines. His research is supported by the National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.

This event is open to anyone interested in furthering the fight against cancer. The funds raised are used in research to find cures, education on how to reduce the risk of cancer, and support for those currently battling cancer.
