Tama County SKIP, in alliance with the Tama County DEC (Drug Endangered Children) Program and the Tama and Toledo Police Departments will be holding a prescription drug dropoff on Saturday, April 17, at the Tama Civic Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Flushing prescription drugs down the toilet is not an appropriate way to dispose of your outdated or unused drugs. According to studies, trace amounts prescription drugs that have been flushed have found their way into the drinking water of some cities.

Any Tama County resident is encouraged to bring their prescription drugs to the Tama Civic Center for proper disposal.
