Area law enforcement agencies are joining Tama County SKIP (Supporting Kids in Prevention) and the Tama-Toledo Eagles Auxiliary in presenting “Drug Awareness in Tama County – It’s Happening in Your Community.”

The effort is one in a series aimed at informing community members, both adults and youth, of the presence and dangers of illegal drug activity locally.

A light meal will be served at the Tama Civic Center beginning at 5:45 p.m., followed by the program from 6:15-7 p.m. next Tuesday, March 24.

Tama, Toledo, Meskwaki Nation Police departments and the Tama County sheriff’s Office are taking part in the program
