The pump price of gasoline in Tama and Toledo dipped below the two dollar per gallon price over the past weekend for regular unleaded with ethanol.

According to the GasBuddy website, which claims to track fuel prices from 150,000 outlets nation-wide, the last time in Des Moines (the only Iowa site listed) the last time the price was below two dollars there was in early 2016.

And, over the past 10-years it was below the mark only one other time-December, 2009.
